A little Hebron in our Hearts

It’s amazing how teaching children can pull on every heart string. And not because we’re being dramatic, us, never. We simply cannot walk away from a class without leaving a bit of ourselves behind.

The principal of Helen O’ Grady Northern Suburbs and Winelands also teaches. Every Thursday afternoon for the last few years sees Mari drive through the gates of Hebron Christian Academy where she is met with enthusiastic, energetic, animated and lively students ready to end their school day on a dramatic high.

Despite the class growing in numbers each term and each year Mari has kept the class personal and each interaction special backed up by world-renowned teaching methods and a stellar curriculum.

We believe the relationship between Helen O’ Grady and Hebron Christian School will continue to grow from strength to strength.

Come On Over to Kuils River

Our Kuils River studio is ever-growing.
Growing in numbers and growing in strength as students give their best week in and week out.

The Jan van Riebeeck hall is transformed into a centre of drama magic every Thursday afternoon from 3pm to 6pm. Students from the area file in for their dose of Helen O’ Grady learning and lessons and laughter.

Kuils River students lighting up the stage with their creativity!

Older faces and new ones take to the stage and bring exuberance, enthusiasm and energy.
If you are in the Kuils River area, stop by, say hello, come for a free trial and join in the ACTion.

We’re there every Thursday afternoon:
15h00-16h00  Lower Primary
16h00-17h00  Upper Primary

17h00-18h00  Youth Theatre

Making a dramatic difference

Our students at Hebron Christian Academy in Kuils River showed that they are ready for Parent Day by giving their best performances this week.
From Scene Starters to Mime and even during the Introductory Activities, every student gave their best and showed how much they've enjoyed what they've learnt this term.

The Introductory activities had them searching their homes for lost treasures while the Mime To Music this week took place at The Dog Show. In pairs the group produced plays centred around a first – time canoe adventure allowing students to put to practise the ad-lib and improv skills they've been taught throughout the year.

Hebron Christian Academy's Lower Primary group giving their best.

All our studios and after-school programmes give students the opportunity to learn and grow with each lesson. Every lesson ends with students having performed mimes, improv plays in big or small groups allowing them to walk away not only with more skills, but also a sense of achievement.

If you would like to know more about what we do or how you could get involved take a look at our website. You are also free to visit our Facebook and Twitter pages for more info and regular updates.

We can't wait to meet you.

Kuils River Studio puts on a wonderful Year end Production!.

Brilliantly vibrant acting and clear voices made the performances of students from our drama school at the Van Riebeeck Hall in Kuils River a huge success. The Academy offers Thursday afternoon classes in communication and performance skills, using the Helen O'Grady international curriculum. We are really proud of the achievements of these young people over the course of last year.
